I saw a tiktok of a man who was a chef and made his wife a recipe each week with whatever food the baby was the size of.
that’s so Luca but desserts because he’s a pastry chef
S C R E A M I N G. That is Luca for real 😭.
This was meant to be a blurb but became a full fic.
Pairing: Chef Luca x Reader
Warnings: pregnancy, pure absolute fluff, probable inaccurate food choices- if you can’t eat any of these whilst pregnant, pretend you can. Luca would not make you sick. I am just an idiot. I used a mix of results on google for the size and they all say different things so might not be 100% accurate.
ALSO The baby is a girl because Luca gives me girl dad energy. He’d want all girls. Actually he’d PREFER girls because he is a massive green flag. Fight me.
“Luca babe, the baby is the size of a blueberry!” You showed him the app on your phone. “Isn’t that cute!”
This app had become your obsession. You’d found out you were pregnant at 4 weeks (poppy seed) and made an occasion out of it. Each week you’d open the app and tell Luca how big your little baby was. You’d always hold the app with the picture over your stomach and coo at it.
He found it adorable how excited you’d get and how you’d call the baby little proceeded by whichever seed or fruit it was this week.
“That’s adorable, my love.” Luca responded and kissed you, kissed your stomach. “Our baby blueberry”
***
At work it was all he could think about, his baby, a little blueberry in your womb and before he knew it, he’d drawn up a new dessert and was packing it up. This wasn’t for the menu or for noma. This was all for you and his little baby blueberry.
He presented it to you when he arrived home that afternoon, grinning proudly.
“Blueberry tart with vanilla cream, blueberry sorbet and wild water mint. For my blueberry”
You’d of course cried as the baby hormones were playing havoc with your emotions. Luca, your darling, sweet, perfect Luca had instantly panicked and worried he’d set off your sickness and was at your side asking if it was the taste or the smell or something and offering to go out and get you anything you needed.
You’d sobbed and clung to him and when the tears had subsided, you’d told him it was the sweetest thing and you loved it.
He’d even smeared the cream into a heart and walked back from noma rather than risk it getting dented in the car or on a bus or train, which set you off again.
How could he be so perfect, so doting, so affectionate and so yours.
Luca had kissed you, grinned at how adorable your tears were and insisted he fed it to you on the deck of the boat under the stars.
****
The next week, the little blueberry had become a little raspberry and Luca brought home a whole batch of raspberry danishes. A classic pastry staple but you’d loved it all the same.
It was followed a grape syrup mousse for week nine which Luca spoon fed you in bed. A sticky date pudding when the tenth week rolled around. Week eleven was a lime pandan cake and for your twelve week scan when the baby had reached the size of a plum, Luca spent hours creating a spiced plum clafoutis, which he closed down the restaurant early to present to you.
Each dessert was so lovingly made and Luca began to love the challenge of creating a new dessert and even downloaded the app on his own phone so he could find out too.
After a kiwi sorbet on the thirteenth week fed to you as you walked along the canal and the honey roasted peach with almonds in the park for the fourteenth, Luca managed to convince you to delete the app and let him surprise you with the baby size. You were only all too happy to give up the app, if it meant your lovely Luca getting to surprise you.
By the fifteenth week, he’d laboured an extra two hours one evening to bring you home the first surprise size; Spiced poached pears with hot chocolate and pepper sauce. With anyone else, their husband working later whilst they were pregnant would have been an annoyance that they were working when they should have been painting the babies room or building a cot but with Luca, you fell more and more in love with him with every dessert. You knew whatever he was working on would be extra special. He loved you, loved the bump.
The sixteenth week brought avocado bars that you’d store in the fridge and end up snacking on for the rest of the week. You didn’t usually like avocado but as if your baby knew, you began craving it like crazy. Luca was apprehensive when the avocado picture popped up, nervous about this weeks dessert being based around a food you were never too keen on, but when he’d given you the tray of them you’d greeted him and the bars with the same enthusiasm as you had every other week.
Week seventeen brought a naval orange parfait served to you as Luca painted the spare room on the boat in a beautiful soft yellow. A perfect neutral for your baby. He’d built a cot by hand too and kept pausing to kiss you to thank you for the baby.
As week eighteen rolled around he’d presented you with a white chocolate pomegranate dessert and on that same day, you’d discovered the sketch book.
If he wasn’t a chef, you’d have sworn he could have been an artist. He’d drawn landscapes of Nyhaven or drawn colourful pretty flowers or feathers for you to get tattooed or doodles that would wind up as one of his own tattoos. Sometimes, he’d drawn you. Soft hair over your face as you slept, the curve of your now prominent bump that he’d talk to every night and kiss every morning before work.
Luca had always told you he was no good at school, bunked off too much to be good with Maths or English or Science, but with how precise, perfect, passionate he was about baking you knew he had to have had a creative soul so it was no surprise his art was almost as beautiful as his desserts.
In his newest sketchbook, he’d had drawn every dessert before making it. Perfect, beautiful artist style drawings and next to each one he’d dated it and written the week and the fruit and how many days until your due date.
“Luca” you bit your lip looking down at the sketch book.
“What is it darling?” He’d been busy working in your kitchen on week nineteen. From the smell that lingered on his skin and in the kitchen, you knew it would be one of your favourites. Mango.
“Are you okay? Is the baby okay, my love?”
He’d placed down the bowl and rushed the length of the houseboat to tilt your chin up to look at him with one hand and place the other on your growing bump. He was shirtless, plaid pajama pants hanging sinfully low on his hips. You could see one of the many matching tattoos you shared scattered over his side. His vows to you down his left.
His eyes fell on the notebook and he ducked his head, blush dusting over his cute freckled cheeks. You loved when you could see his freckles, and your head instantly went to picturing a little baby with freckles just like him.
“Spoilers darling” he reached for the book. “We are putting these in a baby book when they’re born”
Needing him there and then, you caught his arm and pulled him down for a long lingering kiss, pressing up on tiptoes to meet him half way.
“You’re so fucking gorgeous Luca.”
You stated before you pressed up on tiptoes and pulled him down into a long, lingering kiss.
“Need to kiss you”
His hand tangled up in your hair and his tongue pressed lazily against yours.
“And you’re so beautiful with my baby inside you” he muttered into your mouth.
God, he was even supporting you on tiptoes one handed, another strong muscular arm around your waist.
You continued like that. A soft intimate make out session, you pressed against him until week nineteens mango bavarois with your favourite passionfruit compote was ready and Luca would pick you up in his toned strong arms like you weren’t several months pregnant, sit you on the counter, stand between your legs and kiss between spoons of it.
***
“Remember at your scan last week, we put the gender in an envelope?” Luca asked you as you walked through the city on your twentieth week.
You remembered and tilted your head. “Yeah I remember…”
“So baby is the length of a banana…or a carrot” Luca explained and then paused. “I have a lovely surprise for you, my darling…I’ve asked one of the chefs to make this weeks. Banana for a boy or erm…carrot for a girl” he smiled softly.
“Like a dessert gender reveal?” You asked, a little smile playing on your lips. He was so thoughtful. That was so Luca and you loved it
“Yeah see, I wanted to keep doing your desserts and I thought it would be a really amazing way to reveal babies gender.”
“Luca you are such a dork, I love you”
Luca broke out into a lob sided grin
“He’s delivering it to the boat today. I know what you’d be like if I picked it up, you’d tease me and ask if I peeked.”
“I know you wouldn’t peek!” You exclaimed “You said you wanted us to find out together!”
“I do darling and we will…soon”
That night, Luca went all out. He lit candles, set up the table and gave you a back rub before his chef dropped off the
“They’re here my love.” Luca said as he turned, two plates with a dome each covering “don’t worry, it’s not twins” he smiled and you rolled your eyes at his playful joke.
“If it was you’d be making me double the desserts!”
He laughed and kissed you before placing yours down and then his.
“What do you want Luca?” You asked him and noticed the blush dusting over his cheeks
“I, uh, really don’t mind, my love…” Luca said but he’d always been a terrible liar and you could tell he had a preference. “Remember darling, banana for a boy and carrot for a girl. On three okay?” He said calmly although you could tell his heart was racing.
You counted down together and lifted the dome lids
“Oh!”
Before you on the plate was an expertly crafted carrot and buckwheat cake, so well designed that you could tell this chef had learnt from Luca.
“Baby girl” was written on each plate.
“Darling…it’s a girl!” Luca looked up at you so full of love, his beautiful soft blue eyes wet and gentle, his smile soft and filled with love. “It’s a girl!” He instantly came over to your side, “a baby girl” he kissed you sweetly and then dropped to his knees and kissed your bump. “Hello my little darling.” He repeated. “I already love you so much, I love you both”
Luca got up, linking your hands and kissed you again over and over before helping you up and leading you to the bedroom where he lay you on the bed and lavished you with love.
“I wanted a girl.” He whispered into your neck later that night “thank you so much for my baby”
“Knew it” you said back as you pulled him back against you.
****
Finding out the gender made it all the more real. All the beautiful that desserts that came in the form of coconut press, followed by a grapefruit pannacotta. Luca, of course, made sure it was a pink grapefruit to symbolise the baby girl.
It was the following week that you first felt the baby kick. In the previous weeks, there’d been flutters here and there but nothing too noticeable.
“I know you must be so uncomfortable my love and please don’t think I’m selfish…” he said as he rubbed your calves on a seat on the boat as you balanced a bowl of papaya cake on your bump. “But you look so beautiful pregnant, I adore the bump”
“You’re obsessed with the bump” you laughed playfully.
Your bump had well and truly popped. It had gone from looking a little pregnant to looking well and truly pregnant. Luca had, as you’d expected, became completely obsessed with the bump.
“Can you blame me? It’s my little baby in there. My little papaya.” He patted it lightly and the bowl wobbled.
“Luca!” You laughed steadying the bowl.
“That wasn’t me that time!” He squeezed your calf and then it dawned on him.
“Was that?” His blue eyes lit up meeting yours and you nodded.
“Think so.” You nodded and quickly lifted the bowl off your bump and put his hand over it, placing yours over his. It was unmistakable this time. The baby kicking.
It could have been ten minutes or an hour of you just sitting like that.
“Love…” Luca’s eyes began tearing up and you leant forward to wipe them. “That’s our baby in there. Our baby. My little baby” Luca rubbed his hand back and forward over, the fondest, most reverent expression on his face as the baby kicked again.
“Maybe she’ll grow up to be a footballer.” Luca said a little hopefully. “Future Lioness captain” he remarked causing you to start laughing.
That was so Luca. He’d never push the kid but of course that would be his first thought.
“Let’s let her finish cooking and start walking before you sign her up to football clubs in Copenhagen okay?”
Luca put his head gently over the bump speaking directly to it. “I already love you so much.” He kissed it before he rose and kissed you “And I’ve loved you my whole life.”
****
The last few weeks seemed to fly through in a mix of desserts including pineapple upside down cake, cantaloupe roll, and candied pumpkin.
You’d picked a name and the babies nursery was all but set. Luca had reassured you that; no it absolutely was not silly to want an ocean waves noises machine despite that you lived on a boat and yes you had the overnight bag packed for weeks. Luca being perfect Luca had even packed a spare one he’d taken to keeping in the car so he’d never need to run back to boat and leave you if you were to go into labour at any time.
It was the night before your due date, you sat with Luca on your boat, lying back against him, head on his chest as he had one hand on your bump and using the other to gently toy with the ends of your hair. Millefeuille with a mix of watermelon and melon rested on your legs.
“Hey” you tipped your head back on against him.“Baby might be here tomorrow.” You whispered low and quiet in the evening “Scared?”.
“Nah.” Luca shook his head “It’s my baby with my darling. Feels like everything is finally falling into place, like it’s the one additional perfect thing we needed.”
Luca would have thought he’d be terrified.
He didn’t know how to be a parent after all. His own father had dipped when he was three. After that there’d been his mums boyfriend James from when he was five to nine. He’d been a nice guy from what he remembered but eventually they’d split too. “Uncle James” had promised to still take Luca and his sister out but eventually the contact dwindled down and it was just the odd Arsenal game or a card on Christmas and eventually even that stopped and then eventually Luca hadn’t seen him since he was eleven.
So it was even to his own surprise that he wasn’t nervous. Not at all. To Luca, you carrying a baby that was his just made sense.
“I just know in my heart this is so right for us” He said, a look of love in his eyes “I love this baby and they’re not even here yet and you know I loved you the moment I met you…Loving you…having this baby with you is the most natural thing I’ve ever felt.”
He leant forward and stole a kiss from your tilted lips.
“I can’t wait my love.”

Stealth has never been Mario's strong suit, so it takes every ounce of his concentration to keep his footsteps light. He gets a few amused glances from the groundskeepers, but they don't interfere, nor do they hint his presence to his target, who's now only twenty yards away, fifteen, ten. He's decided he'll bring them a heaping plate of bruschetta tomorrow to thank them for putting up with his antics. But for now, he has more important matters to attend to.
Now he's five yards away, and the blonde bombshell sipping tea in a wrought-iron garden chair is still none the wiser to his presence. He can't help himself; he rushes forward, balancing his delivery precariously in one hand as he approaches, and the surprised squeak Peach emits when he covers her eyes from behind immediately validates his efforts.
"I'm thinking we're overdue for a nice merenda, yeah?" He's proud of how light and naturally he's able to say it, given the cake he's poured so much time into is about to slip out of his grasp. He's able to reach around her so that the dish falls from his fingertips and directly onto the table without so much as disturbing her teapot and saucer.
The impromptu acrobatics coupled with Peach's delighted giggle makes him feel invincible. He really is Number One.
"Chocolate?" Peach guesses, sniffing the air, and the eagerness in her voice is enough to melt his heart.
"Close!" He uncovers her eyes then, and Peach gasps in excitement as she takes in the dish he's placed before her. "Double dark chocolate cake with three layers of chocolate mousse and a generous sprinkling of powdered cocoa! As requested."
While he's still out of her line of sight, Mario can't help but pump his fist in victory. He's been cycling those exact words through his head since early this morning, when Peach awoke him with a craving so insatiable that it drove her to tears. Though she was asleep again within twenty minutes, he made it his sacred duty to fulfill her wish, and now here he is, seeing it off without a hitch.
Not normally one to brag on himself, Mario can't help but acknowledge just this once that he's like, the best husband ever.
As he fishes for a serving knife and fork from the cocoa-stained burlap apron still tied around his waist, Peach's elation fizzles into something far meeker. "Oh, stars," she groans, setting her teacup back on its saucer so she can lean back and bury her face in her hands. "Mario, I'm so sorry, I—"
"Ap ap ap," Mario cuts in. "No apologies! Just cake." He comes to her side so that he can retrieve the extra plates from beneath the cake's serving dish, and she looks up at him then, her face pink with embarrassment but bright with happiness in spite of it.
She recomposes herself with a deep breath and sits back upright, her swollen belly making the action only slightly less graceful than normal. "You're incredible," she sighs, smiling softly.
Mario debates pushing the cake aside and kissing every last inch of her until she's squealing with laughter, but he's an Italian man with a pregnant wife, so even thinking about letting her go hungry makes him feel worthy of capital punishment. He dutifully serves her with a generous slice and internally pats himself on the back once more.
Peach melts into a puddle of bliss as she savors her first forkful of cake. "Oh, sweetie, you're my hero." Mario, now seated across from her with his own slice of cake, opens his mouth to respond, admit that Toadsworth is the true hero because he's the one that walked Mario through each step of the baking process and ensured the dessert would actually look as good as it tasted... but then Peach's face changes, her bliss replaced with something that looks like surprise.
Before he can inquire, she relaxes again, resting her free hand on her belly. "Our hero, sorry," she rectifies, and the fondness in her eyes as she looks down and pets the bump in her abdomen has Mario reconsidering his whole Cake Now, Kisses Later stance.
"Ah, so she likes it too?"
"Who do you think has been giving me all these cravings in the first place?" Spearing another bite of cake on her fork, Peach giggles. "I can assure you she’s very happy right now.”
Mario’s heart leaps in his chest, realizing right away what she means.
The baby’s recently started moving, according to Peach. Subtle movements, movements she can’t really put words to, but gentle and very real affirmations that there’s a fledgling life within her. It tickles, she’s told him.
Mario still hasn’t gotten to experience it yet. He’ll spend long stretches of time with both hands and one ear on her stomach, holding his breath and keeping his muscles as still as humanly possible in the hope that he’ll feel or even hear their baby. Nothing has come of it yet except acute oxygen deprivation and the information that he looks like a Goomba when he’s so intently focused like that.
It’s enough just to know, at least for now. That alone brings him joy beyond words. He eats his cake in silence as Peach tells him about her day so far between bites, half-listening and half just admiring the way she glows in the afternoon sunlight.
Between Peach, who’s eating for two, and Mario, who always eats for two anyway without the excuse of pregnancy, the cake is gone in half an hour.
“Oh… I’m going to regret that,” Peach sighs, but her contented countenance betrays her complete lack of remorse. “Will you walk with me? I’ll be in a sugar coma before sunset if I don’t get some exercise.”
Their walk finds them meandering through the garden’s central hedge maze together, their feet following the familiar path blindly as they chat back and forth about various projects and undertakings and plans they’ve found themselves saddled with of late. Peach is in the middle of pressuring Mario once more to reveal his Big Secret Building Project to her (a nursery, with completely hand-crafted furniture, but he’s still a month or so out from completing it and he so desperately wants it to be a surprise) when it happens again: she stiffens slightly and draws in a quiet but quick breath, stopping mid-sentence and touching her stomach tentatively.
“Peachy?” Mario inquires.
Rather than respond, she takes his hands and places them on her belly, and his heart thumps a bit harder as she guides his left hand to a spot just right of her navel. Then she leaves it there, her hand resting atop his, and waits.
He doesn’t feel anything. The disappointment is short-lived, because even if he can’t feel it, he knows their baby is stirring beneath his hands right now, and the thought alone fills his heart to bursting.
“Don’t be shy now,” Peach urges in a gentle croon, stroking her right hand over the back of his left. “Wasn’t the cake yummy? Don’t you want to tell Papa thank you? I know that would make him very happy.”
Mario clears his throat to avoid choking, because the maternal affection thick in her voice so overwhelms him with love that it’s making him dizzy. He imagines their baby all curled up within Peach, soothed and intrigued by a voice she surely recognizes as her mother’s by now, and then he’s imagining that same baby wrapped in soft blankets and cradled safely in her mother’s arms, being rocked to sleep to the tune of a lullaby in the dim light of the stars—
And then he feels it. A nudge, directly against his palm, quick but pinpointed.
He stares down at his hand for a moment, wondering if maybe he imagined it. Maybe he was daydreaming so hard that now he’s feeling phantom sensations. But when he meets Peach's eyes, he finds her grinning ear to ear, and he knows right away that his senses aren't tricking him.
“Wh—” A matching grin, one filled with disbelief and awe, spreads across his face. “When did—”
“Just earlier today.” Peach chuckles into the knuckles of her gloved left hand. “I was speaking in front of the Parliament, and suddenly she just started kicking. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a hard time keeping a straight face!”
As if on cue, it happens again, a tiny kick against Mario’s palm. Their baby, their little girl, strong and healthy and growing every day and now finally making herself known— it’s too much to bear.
“Ah!” Mario cries, and then he’s kneeling on the cobblestone path, pressing kiss after kiss to that exact spot where he felt his child move for the first time. “Brava!” Mwah! “Nostra talentuosa principessina!” Mwah! “Sei proprio una brava calciatorina!” Mwah!
Peach is shrieking with laughter in no time at all, crying out from ticklishness but making no effort to stop him, and pretty soon he’s laughing right along with her. He really is Number One, he finds himself thinking again, though not in self-satisfactory pride this time around. He’s the number one luckiest and happiest guy in the world.

TBR TAKEDOWN: Week 11 (Aug 11)
TLDR: I have too many unread books, and I’m asking tumblr to help me downsize. Pick one or none, and comment if you can - a convincing sentence is worth a dozen votes! You’re also welcome to just choose the one that sounds the worst :D Book descriptions below the cut, see my pinned post for more info.
Voracious: A Hungry Reader Cooks Her Way through Great Books by Cara Nicoletti
As a young bookworm reading in her grandfather's butcher shop, Cara Nicoletti saw how books and food bring people to life. Now a butcher, cook, and talented writer, she serves up stories and recipes inspired by beloved books and the food that gives their characters depth and personality.
From the breakfast sausage in Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House in the Big Woods to chocolate cupcakes with peppermint buttercream from Jonathan Franzen's The Corrections, these books and the tasty treats in them put her on the road to happiness.
Cooking through the books that changed her life, Nicoletti shares fifty recipes, including:
* The perfect soft-boiled egg in Jane Austen's Emma
* Grilled peaches with homemade ricotta in tribute to Joan Didion's "Goodbye to All That"
* New England clam chowder inspired by Herman Melville's Moby-Dick
* Fava bean and chicken liver mousse crostini (with a nice Chianti) after Thomas Harris's The Silence of the Lambs
* Brown butter crêpes from Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl
Beautifully illustrated, clever, and full of heart, Voracious will satisfy anyone who loves a fantastic meal with family and friends-or curling up with a great novel for dessert.
The Returning by Christine Hinwood
An engrossing epic tale with a cast of characters that will hijack your heart.
Cam Attling, having lost an arm, is the only one from his town of Kayforl to return after twelve years of war. All his fellow soldiers were slain, and suspicion surrounds him. When his betrothal to Graceful Fenister is called off and his role in the community questioned, Cam leaves to find the lord who maimed him but spared his life, seeking answers and a new place in the world.
But this is not just Cam’s story, it’s about all those whose fates entwine with his. Set in a medieval world that is entirely the author’s creation, this is an ingenious, exquisite story about what happens after the battle. When sisters, sons, friends, parents, and lovers are left to deal with the subtle aftermaths and unimagined repercussions of war.
The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell
A visionary work that combines speculative fiction with deep philosophical inquiry, The Sparrow tells the story of a charismatic Jesuit priest and linguist, Emilio Sandoz, who leads a scientific mission entrusted with a profound task: to make first contact with intelligent extraterrestrial life. The mission begins in faith, hope, and beauty, but a series of small misunderstandings brings it to a catastrophic end.

DoaHD | Entry 3: I Learned About My Grandma From Her Former Drinking Buddy
A/N: okay so i lied again about uploading biweekly LMAO, i think with how things are going its probably going to be monthly updates, mainly because it takes me a long ass time to do the illustrations;; (I literally spent 2 days trying to nail strawberry butler's design T-T)
Taglist: @minecraftninjerkid (DM if you would like to be added!)
Previous | Masterlist | Next
“Let’s see…” Strawberry Mousse Cookie muttered, reading over the packing list once more. “Clothes, sewing machine, sewing materials…” She walked across the hallway of suitcases lined up in the foyer, tapping each fruit leather-bound case that contained their respective items. “Oh! Don’t forget that bottle of premium grade strawberry juice for Her Majesty!” She pointed towards the grenadine juice bottle that was sitting on a nearby table.
“I got all of that,” Strawberry Tea Cookie confirmed.
“Are you sure?” Her mother fretted. “Why don’t we double check.” She unlocked one of the bigger cases, rummaging through the neatly packed contents while cross-referencing her list.
“You already quadruple checked everything,” Strawberry Tea Cookie reassured, shooing her away from the suitcase and shutting it before signaling for the servants to carry them out. “You don’t need to worry so much.”
“I know, I know,” Strawberry Mousse Cookie sighed, “But you know me…” She walked up to Strawberry Tea Cookie, cupping her cheeks. “I can’t help but always worry about my little berry blossom.”
“There’s nothing you need to be concerned about,” the designer removed her mother’s hands, holding them in her own. “I’ve traveled further before.”
“It’s not that…” Strawberry Mousse Cookie paused, contemplating her words for a moment before shaking her head. “Nevermind.”
Strawberry Tea Cookie pulled her lips taut across her face, concealing the urge to demand her mother to speak her mind. The words swelled from the back of her throat, trying to pry her mouth open so they could be set free. But she restrained herself— arguing will only further damage her standing.
It’s not like she didn’t know what her mother was about to say, anyways.
“Lady Strawberry Tea Cookie, the carriage is almost ready for your departure,” Strawberry Butler Cookie announced, bowing before stepping to the side of the manor’s grand doors.
Strawberry Tea Cookie grabbed the bottle of strawberry juice and made her way to the forecourt with her mother. Her father was outside as well, overseeing the servants securing her mountain of suitcases to the proportionally— and comically— small carriage.
“Ohh, I’m going to miss you so much!” Strawberry Mousse Cookie cried, tightly wrapping her arms around Strawberry Tea Cookie. “The estate is always so empty when you’re not around…”
“But I rarely leave my room,” Strawberry Tea Cookie chuckled in disbelief. “I doubt you notice I’m even here when I’m home.”
Not to mention how Peach Jam Cookie and Strawberry Sugar Cookie seemed to make it their mission to constantly occupy her mother’s attention when possible.
“But I know you’re home,” Strawberry Mousse Cookie clarified sadly. “I know you’re safe within Strawberry Mansion.”
Strawberry Tea Cookie didn’t comment further, opting to give a small— albeit forced— smile.
“Your mother is correct,” Roasted Oolong Cookie placed a hand on his daughter’s shoulder, obscuring his face from Strawberry Tea Cookie’s gaze. “We’ll miss you.”
The designer silently wrapped her arms around her parents, pulling them closer. She felt a sense of reluctance rise within her stomach, bubbling up like the concoction of activated yeast Strawberry Butler Cookie used when baking bread. It slowly seeped into the threads of excitement that came from leaving Strawberry Manor and this kingdom— staining them pink with forlorn. “I’ll miss you both too…”
Yet Strawberry Tea Cookie wasn’t all too sure if what she was feeling was truly the hesitation of parting with her parents, or rather the thought of leaving them alone with her relatives for two months. While she doesn’t often contribute to their social gatherings, she would at least like to be present in the household to keep tabs on those peachy parasites.
She reluctantly let go of her parents upon hearing Strawberry Butler Cookie call her name, slowly walking towards the carriage with her parents trailing behind.
“I shall be back before you know it,” Strawberry Tea Cookie assured, facing them as she took a preliminary step into her ride. Yet before she could fully enter, she felt a warm hand grasping her own.
“Berry bloss—“ Strawberry Mousse Cookie cut herself off, taking a deep breath. “Strawberry Tea Cookie, please know that we still love you very much.”
—That was not what she was expecting.
The former heiress turned back to see the raw remorse painted on her mother’s face, her eyes that usually displayed nothing but kindness and unyielding patience now glossed over with absolute grief. The tears threatening to spill over made her pupils shine a vivid burgundy under the sun’s zenith, a stark contrast to the way Strawberry Tea Cookie felt all her color drain into the vivacious blue sky the more she internalized her mother’s expression.
“I… know.” Strawberry Tea Cookie sighed, battling with her own conflicting feelings. Perhaps she will miss her parents more than she thought— even after everything that has transpired. She broke eye contact, glancing away only to meet the triumphant carmine gaze of Strawberry Sugar Cookie, now standing by the mansion’s doors.
The new heir smirked when he realized her attention was on him, sticking his tongue out while pulling his frosted lower lash downwards— an immature display of victory. If it weren’t for the circumstances and their literal distance, she would’ve stitched his face shut with her magic like she did a while back.
But she digressed.
“I love you too.” The designer continued, turning her focus back on her parents. Strawberry Mousse Cookie let go of her hand and backed away with her husband, allowing Strawberry Tea Cookie to fully climb into the carriage and shut the door. She glanced out the window, giving them a small wave goodbye as her ride began to move.
And I’ll make sure to show how much I love you and House Strawberry.
.
.
.
Strawberry Tea Cookie was in immediate awe of the sight before her, stepping out of the carriage to face the airship towering over Hollyberry Palace.
It reminded her of those grandiose blimps broadcasting Super Fashion Week when she attended all those years back, except this one was miniature compared to the former’s size. The elliptical balloon, which had a large blue banner donning the Crème Republic’s insignia draped over it, was perched on a wide bronze ring that held up a brig ship comparable to its size. The boat was equipped with a large propeller located at its stern. Two fan-like sails flanked the rudder, obscuring the circular engine exhausts that radiated a hypnotizing blue light. It was a perfect combination of modernity and antiquity– all gilded in a sleek coat of white and gold.
Cookies wearing cream colored uniforms hurried to unload the designer’s luggage onto some nearby carts. Strawberry Butler Cookie took charge in instructing the ship’s staff on how it should be organized, pointing to where each suitcase should be placed as they were lifted— much to the handlers’ annoyance.
“Ah, I’m so glad you could join us, Young Strawberry Tea Cookie!” Hollyberry Cookie beamed, her words nearly drowned out by the engine’s incessant humming.
“Thank you once again for permitting me to join you on this trip, your Majesty.” Strawberry Tea Cookie said as she turned around, meeting Hollyberry Cookie with a bow before presenting her with the bottle of strawberry juice. “My family has prepared this for you as a show of gratitude.”
“Oh there’s no need to be so formal with me,” the former queen laughed. “But I will be taking this, thank you very much.” She swipes the bottle from Strawberry Tea Cookie’s hands, immediately popping the cork open and taking a swig of the sweet liquid.
Ah, so the rumors hold true. That bottle had twice the amount of sugar that normal strawberry juice has…
“Now c’mon, we must make haste!” She beckoned, a foot already on the boarding ramp. “The ship will be departing soon!”
Strawberry Tea Cookie turned back to check on her butler, who was now arguing with the staff about a fallen case. Thankfully there was nothing too important in that one, just some muslin and thread. Strawberry Butler Cookie’s exasperated eyes met her concerned ones, but he only let out a huff and beckoned her to board the ship with a hurried shoo-ing motion, too occupied with fixing this mess.
.
.
.
The cabinet inside was simple yet elegant, perfectly matching the exterior’s aesthetic motif. A U-shaped couch occupied the perimeter of the space, upholstered with smooth fruit leather that was bleached to a creamy caramel. Silk cushions topped the couch like a dollop of cream on some freshly baked scones, reflective of the ones plated on top of the small, hardwood coffee table situated in the center. Next to the plate of complimentary pastries was a simple ceramic teapot with four cups surrounding it, one of which was already turned upright and filled with a familiar red liquid.
“Did you really have to bring Her Majesty more juice,” Wildberry Cookie questioned as Strawberry Tea Cookie took her seat beside him.
“I did say I would gift her the finest juice my house could offer,” she replied with a shrug, flipping over the remaining cups and pouring out some tea. A dry, aromatic scent filled the designer’s nostrils, with subtle hints of bergamot tingling her senses—earl gray— not her favorite, but she enjoyed it more than the popular fruit teas within the Hollyberry Kingdom.
“Oh don’t be such a sour berry, let me enjoy a gift from my good friend’s granddaughter.” Hollyberry Cookie huffed, taking another sip seemingly out of spite. She let out a sigh of satisfaction, raising the bottle up in the air. “This must be your grandmother’s recipe, am I correct?”
The designer nods. “My mother told me you were quite fond of her juice recipe, so I took that into consideration when picking a bottle from our collection.” She reached over to point at the wax seal melted to the sugar glass. The seal held the shape of two ovalish berries coming together in the shape of a heart, bordered by sharp leaves. “She personally made this bottle.”
“Well I’m honored to receive such a fine gift~.” Hollyberry Cookie smiled, she settled the bottle on the table and re-corked it. “Of all the delectable juices offered in the Hollyberry Kingdom, none can truly beat the flavor of Ol’ Goji Berry Cookie’s recipe.”
The door suddenly slams open and an irritated looking Strawberry Butler Cookie stomps in. “Almighty Greenish-Red Dragon, is it so hard to put away a few luggages?” He slumped next to Strawberry Tea Cookie, running a hand through his creamy pink hair before looping downwards to massage his sore shoulder. “I swear the crew purposely did the exact opposite of what I told them to do!”
The designer gave him a sympathetic look, nudging a cup of tea towards him. “Regardless, you have my gratitude for overseeing them.”
“You have very important things in there,” Strawberry Butler Cookie replied before nudging her playfully. “I still remember the fit you threw when Lord Strawberry Sugar Cookie got paint on your dress.”
Strawberry Tea Cookie scoffed and rolled her eyes in the same lighthearted manner as her butler. “Well he shouldn’t have entered my studio without permission in the first place.”
But perhaps stringing him to the wall was too far…
Pierce the fabric, loop the—
The fashion student flinched as her studio door swung open, her mind momentarily going blank as her focus was drawn away from the thread she was attempting to control.
“Cousin, are you in here?” A shrill voice called out.
Strawberry Tea Cookie let out an audible huff of frustration before turning to glare at whoever dared to interrupt her magic practice.
There stood Strawberry Sugar Cookie—of course—in all his wide-eyed glory. Blotches of paint covered his sunrise orange hair, matting the usually wispy, cotton candy-esque consistency. The paint brush that was usually weaved into the back of his head was now tucked to the side, smearing colored frosting onto his forehead– if he even noticed. His clothes, which were far from a simple painter’s attire, were also caked with multicolored pigments.
Disheveled, disorganized, and disruptive—as expected from the son of a rotten peach.
“This better be important,” Strawberry Tea Cookie sighed. It took her nearly an hour to gain enough control of that thread, let alone begin maneuvering it like she would sewing by hand.
“I-I just want to see what you are doing…” Strawberry Sugar Cookie briefly glanced back into the hallway before facing her. “Can I come in?”
“No.” The heiress immediately answered. Yet he didn’t heed her refusal, stepping into her sacred space without a care in the world.
“C’mon, just for a little bit..?” He pleaded. “Mother…”
Strawberry Tea Cookie ignored the rest of her cousin’s words, only focusing on the way he carelessly brushed against her mannequins to get closer. Luckily the paint on his clothes seemed to be dry, as the muslin sample pieces remained pristinely clean— good, those were due in a few days.
Yet fate wanted to punish the novice designer for even conceptualizing such a thought, it seemed, because a split moment later Strawberry Sugar Cookie let out a sharp yelp before toppling over.
An explosion of paint littered the lacquer floor and its surroundings. Strawberry Tea Cookie didn’t pay attention to her cousin getting up as if he had been revived from a brutal stabbing, instead scanning the room for the damage he caused. Thankfully, only the base of her mannequins were hit, but the same couldn’t be said about her dress. She watched silently as the paint’s inky pigment seeped through each delicately woven thread, much like her growing anger.
Condensed energy flowed throughout Strawberry Tea Cookie’s jam, concentrating at her hands like dense ink settling to the bottom of a water cup. Without even registering it, her cousin was suddenly flung to the wall, the motion splattering more paint across her studio.
Rubine threads held him to the ornate silken wallpaper, his clothes seemingly fused with the wall through the border of hot red.
“What did I say about not coming in!?” The heiress hissed, tightening her fist, which pulled a fear stricken Strawberry Sugar Cookie tighter against the wall. “Mother gave me this dress and you just ruined it!”
Ah. That was quite cruel, wasn’t it.
“Hey, we all had a good laugh in the end,” Strawberry Butler Cookie chuckled, sensing Strawberry Tea Cookie’s shifting emotions. “Plus, you finally gained control of your stitchwork magic.”
“I…” Strawberry Tea Cookie withdrew a breath, thinking back to her cousin’s terrified expression. “Suppose so…”
Yes, that was beyond too far.
The ship began to rumble. The designer glanced out the window, her stomach dropping as they ascended, watching as Hollyberry Palace got smaller and smaller. The grandiose, sugar-glazed domes became nothing but small specks of bright maroon—it was hard to imagine that the same structure defended against attacks from the Pitaya Dragon up north.
Strawberry Tea Cookie felt this strange sense of pressure overcome her as her home disappeared into the endless sea of clouds, one that not even the rising altitude could alleviate. Traveling had always been a source of leisure for her, gaining inspiration was just a natural byproduct of her exploring a new area.
But this time… She had to find inspiration.
Perhaps her aunt was—unfortunately—right. Hollyberry Fashion Week had become a competition.
.
.
.
“Say, Strawberry Tea Cookie, do you know how I met your grandmother?” Hollyberry Cookie asked out of the blue—or orange, considering that the sun was about to set.
The designer glanced up from her cookie-quis sketches and shook her head. Her memories of her grandmother were like wisps of delicate candy floss, dancing through her consciousness in the vague shape of a cookie. Sometimes, she could weave those bits of sugary thread into a condensed recollection, but they quickly dissolved as if a single drop of water tore through the very fabric of her mind. If she was told about how they met, she had long since forgotten.
“Well let’s just say I never met a cookie who could take as much juice as me until I met good Ol’ Goji Berry Cookie~.” She laughed, sighing fondly as she leaned into the couch cushions.
During a palace gala, Hollyberry Cookie was minding her own business when a young cookie, short in stature and with a head full of flame red curls, marched up and challenged her to a drinking contest.
Yet never once did it actually feel like a competition. They talked for hours on end by that little juice table, paying no mind as guests left and the palace staff began cleaning around them. Their conversations flowed from glass to glass, each pour of finely aged juice reaching deeper into each other’s dreams and aspirations.
“If there was one word to describe your grandmother, it was ambitious.” Hollyberry Cookie cackled. She lifted her iconic pie-lattice shield onto the table, causing a loud impact that trembled the delicate dishware. The heart-shaped gemstone emanated a brilliant pink aura, reflecting specks of rainbow light through the endless layers of condensed sugar crystals. “I lost count of the times I told her she deserved this shield more than me~.”
That night, Hollyberry Cookie learned that Goji Berry Cookie came from the Isle of Tea, coming to the Hollyberry Kingdom in hopes of building a better life for her family. While she was a very business-savvy cookie, her true passion lies in the arts. Whatever spare coin she received from trading goods were all poured into the works of her favorite Hollyberrian artists. As her worth grew, so did the guild of creators she supported, to the point where Goji Berry Cookie’s name became more synonymous with art than with business—but Strawberry Tea Cookie already knew all that.
“It was… a shame that she passed when you were so young,” Hollyberry Cookie sighed, taking a sip of juice from her cup. “She always talked so fondly of you.”
Strawberry Tea Cookie felt her heart stall momentarily. This she didn’t know. “She did..?”
“You bet my soul jam she did~,” the shield-bearer confirmed, her tone both happy and solemn—bittersweet. “She told me your drawings had this… rare liveliness to them.”
Rare liveliness..? She wouldn’t describe her old scribbles like that.
“Haha, oh! And she said the moment you drew your first line, she knew you would grow up to be a master artist.” Hollyberry Cookie recalled joyously. “And look at you now, she would have been so proud of you!”
Look at me now…
Strawberry Tea Cookie doubts her grandmother would have been proud of who she became. Sure, a master at her craft, but so selfish that she handed over the family name—destroying everything her grandmother had sacrificed to build. However, that didn’t stop a bittersweet smile of her own from lifting up to her lips, glad that her grandmother saw so much potential in her.
Truly a shame that she squandered it all.
“You have the same eyes as her, you know,” Her Majesty continued. “And even the exact same fiery spark as well,” she flashed her a brilliant smile, one filled with pride as if looking at her own granddaughter. It was infectious, and Strawberry Tea Cookie could feel the bitterness melting from her smile until nothing but confectionate sweetness remained. “Never lose it.”
“I’ll… keep that in mind.” Strawberry Tea Cookie nodded, not knowing what else to say, but she kept her doubts sealed away. That spark had long since burned out, extinguished into nothing but ashen exhaustion that she projects onto other cookies—nothing like her grandmother’s time-told generosity.
She glanced down at her sketches, which were more consistent with aimless scribbles than actual cohesive figures. Cookie models were marred with urgent marks, illegible notes pointing out design flaws, or just scratches of frustration. She couldn’t help but feel more exhausted just looking at the mess.
Yet Hollyberry Cookie’s words instilled a new sense of determination within the young designer, and she found the energy to turn to a new page. Placing her pencil to the paper, she began outlining the shape of a new cookie.
There’s about another six hours to this trip, that’s plenty of time to come up with something fresh.

Strawberry Mousse Cake
(+ explanations on how to do other flavors like apricot, passion fruit, etc)
Ingredients Lists
Biscuit
2 eggs
60g sugar
24g flour
24g corn starch
Strawberry Mousse
250g strawberry puree
5 gelatin sheets (~2.5 teaspoon of gelatin powder)
3 egg yolks
75g sugar
100ml milk
150ml heavy cream
Strawberry insertion & glazing
250g strawberry puree x2
5 gelatin sheets x2
75g sugar x2
Other
Lots of strawberries
Material
Baking circle (20cm ø)
Cooking thermometer
Rhodoid band (optional)
Instructions
Strawberry puree
If you don't have strawberry puree, you can make in the following way.
For 1kg of clean and cut strawberries, add 200ml of water, put in a blender and blen everything into a fine puree.
Biscuit
Seperate the yolks and the white of the eggs.
Beat/whisk the yolks and half of the sugar until they take a fluffy texture and whitens in color (example video but it can be done faster with an electric whisk).
Beat/whisk the whites and the other half of the sugar until they become fluffy (example video but add sugar at the start).
Put the whites, the yolks, sieved flour & starch together in one big bowl.
Mix gently until it's all homogeneous. Don't mix to fast or over mix, or you'll loose some trapped air inside the cake.
Prefeat your oven at 170°C.
On a baking sheet, make a circle of the size of your baking circle.
Bake for 15min.
Once cooked, place the biscuit at the bottom of the baking circle (place your rhodoid just before then).
Strawberries
Remove the strawberry stems and cut them in half in their length.
Put the strawberries on the wall of your baking circle or on the rhodoid band.
Make sure the strawberries are suction glued into the walls of the baking circle/rhodoid.
Strawberry Mousse
Put the gelatin sheets in cold water to rehydrate the gelatin.
Beat the yolks and sugar together until it becomes fluffy and whitens in color.
Put the milk on the stove and once it boils, pour it on top of the yolks, and mix well with a whisk.
Put everything in a sauce pan and cook until it reaches 83°C and put off the stove/heat.
Add in the rehydrated gelatin.
Once the gelatin has molten, add in the strawberry puree
Mix with a whisk for 5min to make sure it stays fluffy.
Let the mousse cool down until room temperature.
Once at room temperature, beat/whisk the heavy cream until it becomes a well done whipped cream.
Add in the strawberry egg mix, and mix everything gently until it is homogeneous.
Pour half into the baking circle.
Store the baking circle in the fridge, keep the mousse at room temperature.
Strawberry Insertion
Put the strawberry and sugar together in a sauce pan and let the sugar melt into the strawberry.
Add the rehydrated gelatin in, and mix until it has molten.
Take a circular baking pan slightly smaller than the baking circle, and cover it with food wrap.
Wait until the mix has cooled down a bit, and pour it in the pan.
Store in the fridge.
Once both the mousse & the insertion has gelified, put the insertion on top of the mousse.
Pour in the rest of the mousse on top of everything and store in the fridge.
Strawberry glazing
Proceed in the same way as the insertion until step 2 included.
Wait for the glazing mix to cool down to room temperature, but before it has hardened.
Once the mousse has finished hardening, pour the glazing on top.
Store in the fridge until everything has hardened properly.
Remove the circle and the rhodoid.
Notes & Advices
You can do the mix for insertion & glazing together in advance. If it has hardened, 30s in the microwave, and it'll melt down again.
Alternatives
This works with other fruits. With that recipe you can do:
Strawberry
Apricot, peach,...
Raspberry, blackberry, blueberry... (any kind of wild berries)
Passion Fruit
Rose hip
Probably many others.
However some modifications may be required:
For sour fruits, or fruits that become sour as they cook (apricot, passion fruit), you may need to add 25g of sugar into the insertion and glazing, and add 75g of sugar in the milk while making the mousse.
If the puree/juice is very liquid, like with passion fruit, add an extra gelatin sheet for the mousse.
For all of those flavors mentioned before but strawberry & passion fruit, you will neeed to cook the fruit with the water before blending. Sieve the puree for raspberry/blackberry/passion fruit/rose hip, remove the stone before the cooking for apricot/peach. Add 400ml of water per kilo for rosehips instead of 200ml. For passion fruit, add no water.
Example of an apricot & passion fruit mousse cake I have done:

UPDATE: I'm Still Here!
Hi, friends! It's been a while since I last posted to Tumblr, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm alive and well, and have been very busy with a whole slew of commissions.
Here's what I've been up to for the past few months:
Personal Project: Princess Peach Showtime Dress-Up Doll
I have been OBSESSED with the Princess Peach game, and so have taken it upon myself to remake ALL of her outfits (13 total!) as my next big personal sewing project. I already have the base outfit completed, as well as Swordfighter Peach and Mermaid Peach (through I still need to add her pearls). Next up will either be Detective peach or Patisserie Peach. If you have a preference for which you'd like to see first, let me know in the comments!
Commission: Phoenix Wright "Beanix" Plushie
I received another commission for a "Beanix" Phoenix Wright from the Ace Attorney series. Unlike my last one, this client wanted darker skin with stubble and blue eyes, but it's mostly identical to the last one I made. Still, always nice to see this guy in plushie form.
Commission: Mousse from Food Fantasy
Another commission I received from a VERY obscure mobile game (so obscure that I could only find 2 images of this character!) This was one of the most complex outfits I've had to do yet, with lots of little details on the boots and the belt and the cape, and the client was thrilled with the result. Although it had my head spinning at times, I enjoy the challenge of simplifying complex designs like this.
Shark Plushie
This wasn't a commission or anything. My mom wanted to learn how I make plushies, so I taught her how to make a cute little shark. <3
Commission: FFXIV Player Characters
And my most recent commission: a pair of Final Fantasy XIV avatars! These guys are Kasumi and Moe, and they are the client and his wife's characters in-game. The client requested them for his wife's birthday, and I was happy to do so. The outfits were so cute and cozy, especially the big fluffy househoes. I even included a little message in Kasumi's sweater pocket.
I have one more commission I just finished, but since the person hasn't received it yet, I'm keeping that one secret for now...
ALSO,
I've recently updated my Etsy shop with some new listings, including some physical, ready-made plushies that are priced to sell! So if you're interested in either an order or a ready-made plush, please come by my Etsy and see what I've got: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PlushieGalaxy?ref=seller-platform-mcnav#items
That's all for now. Hope everyone is doing well!

PEACH'S FALL PERFUME RECS
In the spirit of my Hashira perfume HCs (and because y’all know I have a perfume addiction), I thought I would share my personal rotation for fall, since I do change my perfumes with the seasons.
BASE LAYER SCENTS
I always use one of the following three base scents to layer with my perfumes, both to help with staying power and to add a little extra oomph.
(1) Glossier You — tried and true. I’ve been a fan of this for four years, and I will never retire it. I wear it on its own on the weekends/when I want something lowkey
(2) Juliette’s Got a Gun Not a Perfume (Supercharge) — god I love this one. There just aren’t enough words. It smells WARM.
(3) Amber perfume oil — perfume oil is a GREAT way to help perfumes last all day and I’m a huge whore for anything amber
MAIN FALL SCENTS — buckle up, there are a LOT
Replica’s Coffee Break by Maison Margiela
This is the one I wear the most. It’s so cozy and sweet and just perfect. I’m so obsessed.
Notes: Coffee Accord, Lavender, Milk Mousse Accord
Nest’s Indigo
This is my newest addition and HNNN. It’s a tea fragrance, which I didn’t realize how much I’d love them until I tried one — and now I’m scouring for more tea fragrances because GOD this one is a dream.
Notes: Italian lemon, orange bergamot, Moroccan tea, Kashmir wood, and wild figs from the south of France.
Kayali’s Invite Only Amber
I got this as part of a duo with my spring/summer go-to, Deja Vu White Flowers (an all time favorite tbh) and it smells like late fall/early Christmas. Will keep this on through the holidays! Layered with the amber oil and you will smell sensual and cozy all day long. This one makes men feral.
Notes: Amber Resin, Benzoin, and Ceylon Cinnamon
Replica’s By the Fireplace by Maison Margiela
THIS ONE. MY GOD. As I’ve said, I layer this on my leather jackets and it just makes me drool. It should be noted that it’s very much a unisex scent AND it’s very strong. Some people say it smells too much like campfire, but I’ve found that if you layer it with a vanilla lotion, you really get that creamy sweet gourmand scent that I’m obsessed with.
Notes: Clove Oil, Chestnut Accord, Vanilla Accord
Vanilla 28 by Kayali
This is a classic for a reason. It’s warm, it’s spicy, it’s layerable — what more can you ask for? Pro tip: layer it with glossier you; trust me.
Notes: Vanilla Orchids, Tonka Absolute, Amber Woods
Lancôme’s Midnight Rose
I have used this for eleven years. I get compliments every time I wear it. It used to be my exclusive perfume — so much so, I was known for it. I will never retire it. It’s just. Fuck. So good.
Notes: Blackcurrant, Raspberry, Rose Absolute, Jasmine, Vanilla, Cedar, Musk.

My Rayman x Rabbid Peach Playlist 💖🧡
+ Notes from Animatics I’ll probably never make! (Sorry.. I don’t know how at the moment lmao). Maybe someday!! 😆
This silly playlist has been so fun to make! I hope you guys enjoy these. Feel free to leave any more songs in the comments, reblogs, or asks! I’d love to hear them!!!
“Give Her Love”, by Frank Sinatra
Rayman falling for Rabbid Peach when they’re friends. Mostly I picture this song when I imagine Rayman looking at her with this loving, goofy grin as she’s laughing. I totally need to draw that look sometime.
“so american”, by Olivia Rodrigo
Rabbid Peach being super in love with Rayman, just absolutely adorable stuff. Very cute song!
“Nonsense”, by Sabrina Carpenter
Rabbid Peach pining for Rayman. Nothing else to really say besides her being giddy with joy when she thinks about him.
“Girl Crush”, by Little Big Town
Rayman craving for Rabbid Peach’s company, trying to digest his feelings for her. He wants her so badly, to be near her, to be hers. He’s unsure why, yet indulges in romantic daydreams about her and him together. Plus hints of jealousy for Rabbid Mario, wondering if he’ll confess to Rabbid Peach now that Rayman’s gone. At the end, he realizes his feelings are romantic for her. The animation ends upon this realization, he meets Rabbid Peach again after his visit to the Glade, now knowing that he wants to act on his feelings. Phantom Roommates AU context. This one’s a favorite of mine. I think about it a lot.
“Paper Bag”, by Fiona Apple
Rayman yearning for Rabbid Peach while staying at the Glade… unsure if she feels the same and going into a spiral about it. Phantom Roommates AU context.
“I Think That He Likes Me”, by Kooman & Dimond, Kerry Butler
I’ve described this one before! Here’s the link to the post. :D
“Espresso”, by Sabrina Carpenter
Rabbid Peach being flirty with and teasing Rayman, knowing he likes her back. Just her feeling confident in her romantic feelings for him and expressing them openly. He’d just be flustered the whole time. Phantom Roommates AU context.
🚨⚠️ Content Warnings for Upcoming Descriptions: Suggestive Text/Songs + Drug Use Mention Ahead! You have been warned. Be careful. ⚠️ 🚨
“Red Wine Supernova”, by Chappell Roan
Just Rabbid Peach having fun trying to seduce Rayman. Yep! That’s it. It works lmao.
“Sexbomb”, by Tom Jones, Mousse T.
I HAD to pick this one for obvious reasons. Just picturing Rayman trying to serenade Rabbid Peach. Maybe subtly through Karaoke? ;)
“Naughty Girl”, by Beyoncé
Same thing, but for Rabbid Peach. Maybe she’s preforming her Just Dance routine for him? Or maybe she’s preforming it, but makes direct eye contact with him in the crowd! He’s just sitting there, blushing red hot, wondering if she’s implying something with him….the potential… 😳
“Anytime You Smile”, by JT Music, Andrea Storm Kaden
Captain Laserhawk themed animatic!! Basically Rayman dreaming of his reality of the Phantom Show where he becomes friends and lover to Rabbid Peach on a drug trip. Throughout the song, he slowly becomes aware that this reality isn’t real, but desperately tries to hang onto this escape, continuing to indulge in his drug habits. This idea arose from thinking about Rayman dreaming of a reality where he made friends with a friendlier version of the Rabbids to cope with the Rabbid Kaiju destroying his home. It makes me kinda sad thinking about it. Once I can make animations, this is one I would definitely love to do.
And that’s it!! I’ll probably update this later. Maybe it’ll be a master post? Idk. I’ll put it on my pin eventually! I hope you guys enjoyed! 🧡💖

I don’t ship darklico but from what I remember Raspberry’s cousin ( can’t remember name) had some sort of “what is this magic? Why is my heart beating so fast?” Quote to rose (can’t remember either) cookie, while it was tension so idk man
Those two’s names are Raspberry Mousse and Rose
Well I mean there, I think the context is Raspberry Mousse doesn’t realize he’s got a crush, and thinks she put some sort of spell on her, and thus doesn’t like her for it. Granted I don’t know if they have a story mode or what that entails for their relationship, this is just how I interpret his feelings towards her in that relationship chart. He has feelings for her, but he doesn’t realize what they are and hates her for making him feel this way, thus Tension
Though granted, I don’t think Tension always translates to dislike. For example, Peach feels Tension towards General Jujube, saying “Have we met somewhere before...?”, which given I imagine she doesn’t dislike him, implies more so confusion, because she doesn’t know where she’s seen him before. Which I suppose could also be the case here?
I dunno, looking more at it, I think I might just have to put over all the Tension relationships to see what it actually means, since it seems to range from neutral to negative, and is really the only relationship type to be non positive, well other than Family, but that’s because that’s not really an indicator of their relationship level, just that they’e related
So I’m conclusion…I don’t actually know, I’ll have to get back to you on that. Does anyone have a list of all the Tension relationships?

Hi!! Nilgiri tea is not too strong and not too fragrant but it has a really subtle flavor that makes it go perfectly with any combinations!! I've drank it black, with milk, with sugar, without sugar, with citrus in it, with honey in it- anything! It still tastes so authentic like it just- yes. 🥺 You can either strain it or buy the powdered one (idk if you get it outside india tho-) Nilgiri is a mountain range in India close-ish to where I live :) Darjeeling is also a place in India, btw :3 I am not too knowledgeable about tea TT BUT- Ask me anything you want about Indian teas (👌) :D And I hope I can come to you for any tea advice for myself? :3 Ooh!! I've been staying here for a couple of months! In D.C actually, and thanks for being so considerate, aww!! I came here for...visiting my parents (they work here) + relaxing + studying?? My college entrance exams are in a few months (aka the big thing) so I am just using the alone time here since at home I live with ALL my younger cousins TT Wow, really?? I'm the first?? o-O I am honored haha!! Thank you so much for the support, I'll do my best! 😭 Ngl, winters back at home (where I live in India ofc, India has too many temperature ranges) rarely go below 25 C or 77 F so yeah, it's cold here 🥶 Waaah?? That's so cold TT I'm glad you wrote F yeah, I am too used to reading temps in Celsius lol :'D OMG! SHOW US! Cute bakeries>>>> there's just something about it TT I hope you had a good lunch break!!! Take care!! I just finished my lunch too! Had ice cream for dessert! (I'm a sucker for ice cream TTvTT) Bye bye!!!
Wow! Okay, so I just looked it up and it's similar to black tea but without becoming bitter or astringent 😱 Amazing! It also says that it makes an amazing iced tea as well 😳 I must have some! I'll have to place an order for online to get it, but thats fine. I get all of my other tea online as well. Yes, I would love to know more about Indian tea culture and the types of teas you have! And of course, you can ask me anything about tea as well 😊 Oh, DC is a pretty big place! Never been myself, but I've driven past it. It must be wondeful to visit with your parents. I'm glad you're getting to spend time with them 🥰 How many cousins do you have? That must be stressful at times too. Ah, so that's why you're so nervous, and very understandable! I'm sure you'll do well though. Where are you looking to apply? In the US, in India, or maybe somewhere else? I always wanted to study abroad while I was in college, but I could never afford it 😅 Whoah, 77 °F during winter 😱 That sounds amazing! I wish lol. This cold snap must really be throwing you for a loop! I wish you could have come at a better time. The US can be really beautiful in the spring, summer, or fall. Also, DC doesn't get much snow and thats pretty much the only cool thing about winter. Other than maybe Christmas. I do like icecream, but not in the winter 😅 Maybe if it's paired with warm apple pie or hot peach cobbler... Eek, I'm making myself hungry again.
Here is the dessert I bought 🤤
It's a raspberry mousse with an a mini cheesecake inside 😱 It was soooooo good! I'm just finishing up my afternoon break, so it's time to go back to work! Have a lovely rest of your day 💚

1/30/23
I really didn’t mean to go a year without writing. Back in September, I started an entry that I never got back to, so here’s an attempt at a new one.
It was a pretty eventful year in my perfume world, as well as my personal one. 2022 saw us taking lots of little road trips, several of which one or two-nighters. It was nice to see parts of the state we hadn’t before. We got one great 5 mile hike in before monsoon got busy. Not that it rained much here, but the mountains would be too rainy and cold to enjoy.
Onto the goods. I’ve been extremely content (thrilled) with my perfume wardrobe and mostly focused on acquiring some backups of big loves. Some new additions include this creamy, thick vanilla-tonka beauty called Ajmal Evoke Silver.
bitter orange, rose, vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood
This one smells amazing in hot temps! It’s a change up for me because I’m a big floral lover, and really want bright florals in the heat. Evoke doesn’t bloom as beautifully in cool temps though, and it isn’t at all too heavy for hot weather. This has led me to try warmer scents in warmer weather, even if it is slightly against my preference. It has a milky quality like Armani Si Fiori (WHY did they discontinue it?), which is an addition from early last year.
black currant, green mandarin, neroli, rose, patchouli, oakmoss, vanilla, white musk
I’m very grateful for having received a bottle of Si Fiori before it was too hard to find. Another big love that I was wanting for probably 3 years but could never find: White Soul Gold & Diamonds by Ted Lapidus. Make what you will of the name and sure, the bottle is different.. this is a beautiful piece of work by Francis Kurkdjian. This is another one that develops to the best version of itself in warm weather. It’s like a mixture of a creamier JPG Classique Essence and Alien. Some soapiness, a lot of orange blossom, very dense vanilla. It reminds me a bit of PdM Safanad, though not powdery like Safanad. What it is- womanly in every way.
neroli, mandarin, orange, jasmine sambac, orange blossom, amber, vanilla orchid, heliotrope
I also managed to finally get my hands on Signorina Misteriosa. This is a lovely, milky tuberose-blackberry-vanilla. I love these both! I’d nearly forgotten how much I enjoy juicy berries in fragrance- probably because they can feel too shampoo or body spray like. Not here.
blackberry, neroli, tuberose, orange blossom, milk mousse, black vanilla, patchouli
For fun trip to Arizona last spring, I wore Kate Spade Live Colorfully. I also took along my bottle of Intense Tiare, a sample of Gabrielle Essence (even more gorgeous in heat!), and layered True Gold with Far Away Gold by Avon... but it was Live Colorfully that I attached to this particular trip.
water lily, mandarin orange, star anise, gardenia, tiare flower, coconut, Tahitian vanilla, musk, amber
Being obsessed with banana accords, I had to have D & G The One Essence. I have owned a bottle of the original The One for many years, but made the mistake of wearing it during the difficult time of losing my mother. That caused me to completely stop wearing it in spite of loving it. That wasn’t even a conscious decision but it was having the Essence version that brought it to my attention. I can wear it now, thankfully, and this version is so delicious. One night I wore Essence to bed, and the next morning sprayed Tom Ford Champaca Absolute. The vanilla base amped up Champaca Absolute and the two blended so beautifully that I have worn them like this again.
peach, litchi, mandarin orange, bergamot, lily, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, vanilla, amber, vetiver
Did I really try to say I didn’t obtain that many new perfumes? Haha I’m not even going to try to list them all here but let’s not forget Prada La Femme. I was given a sample of La Femme a couple of years ago but when I smelled it, it smelled exactly like Dali Wild, which I already have. So this year on a whim, I decided to try it again and was hooked. Bubblegummy-tuberose-honey floral. Could be beachy, somewhat tropical.. very clean and feminine.
magnolia, bergamot, carrot seeds, frangipani, tuberose, ylang-ylang, iris, spices, beeswax, vanilla, vetiver
Another delicious gourmand, warm, powdery, sultry berry-ish scent that I fell in love with is Cacharel Yes I am Fabulous. My friend sent a decant of this for me to try and I used every drop. So good. SO GOOD.
blackberry, heliotrope, milk, hazlenut
My birthday surprise was the gorgeous Ylang in Gold (Edition Speciale) by M. Micallef. I was fortunate to have previously sampled both the original Ylang in Gold and Ylang in Gold Nectar, which I preferred. Then I saw this bottle, the lack of mint of the original and extra fruity notes of both and only dreamed. I’m so thankful to have this beauty- wish they’d make this formulation permanent. It’s smoother, a little woodier but very much about ylang and vanilla. The great thing is that good old Casmir by Chopard is close to Ylang in Gold.
geranium, citruses, ylang-ylang, sandalwood, coconut, vanilla
I can’t not mention Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud. This one was on my radar for ages but the reviews were too scary. It was when I smelled something on bubble wrap from another order that something said to just buy it. I had never smelled it before, but a hunch told me that it was Shaghaf Oud. It’s wonderful. Mostly vanilla, praline and oud. I wish the rose was stronger.. but I actually love to layer this with Pure Honey. Can’t get enough..
saffron, oud, rose, praline, vanilla
Another fragrance that I was gifted a sample and fell for is Frank Boclet Ylang Ylang. Goodness. This is very gourmand caramel that shines on the later dry down when the florals come out to play.
mandarin orange, incense, bergamot, ylang-ylang, jasmine, iris, caramel, amber, musk, vetiver
My daughter and I took a trip to the mall one day. It’s funny or sad how little I venture out anymore. On this rare excursion, I was able snag a bottle of Burberry Her Elixir. The Elixir version sits exactly in the middle of Burberry Her and Burberry Her Intense (love) in depth and tone. More milky- most people associate it with milkshake. It’s more girly than the Intense version.
strawberry, blackberry, jasmine, vanilla, amber, sandalwood
Other very worthy mentions I’m enjoying: Michael Kors Glam Jasmine* - Solinotes Ylang Ylang Blossom* - Al Haramain Amber Oud Gold Edition - Mauboussin My Twist - Afnan Souvenir Floral Bouquet
*These deserve their own posts. MK Glam Jasmine is one of the best jasmine scents out there, in my opinion. I have smelled Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge EDT and love it, and while they aren’t exactly the same, Glam Jasmine is hugely satisfying. Long lasting, great sillage. Solinotes Ylang Ylang Blossom has become a favorite easy reach for my insatiable ylang craving. When I first wore it, it reminded me so much of something I couldn’t put my finger on. Tanning lotion and Orchid Soleil, minus the milky (whipped cream) note. You can’t beat that.🌷

How Do Dallas Chefs Put a Unique Twist on Classic Main Dishes?
There are thousands of different restaurants in Dallas and settings, yet they not only revel in celebrating tradition but add unique twists that represent the rich tapestry of Dallas. Reading in this report how chefs in Dallas reinvent main courses while hinting at some interesting options for desserts that have a relationship with these creations.
Eat Your Heart Out for Local Ingredients
One of the main differences between Dallas's chefs and their competitors is the fact that they use local products in their preparation of the main dish in Dallas Many restaurants in Dallas prefer farm-to-table approaches, which enable chefs to prepare fresh dishes that are regional icons. For example, a traditional Southern fried chicken can be enhanced through the use of local spices and organic grains in order to give it a modern flavor that respects the dish's original roots but welcomes the modern palate.
Fusion Flavors
Dallas has turned out to be just one big melting pot of cultures and was reflected in the food culture. Mains dishes here often turn out to be the fusion of old traditional recipes with international flavors. The case in point lies in the fact that the city's Mexican food is so influenced, where well-known dishes like brisket tacos are augmented by Korean barbecue sauces or Asian slaw. Such a kind of fusion does not only appeal to the adventurous eaters but also asserts the versatility of Dallas' culinary offerings.
Creative Presentation
Presentation is an art form in dining, and many Dallas chefs are adept at plating a classic main course to look artistically pleasing, focusing on color and texture - deconstructed meatloaf, for example, with each component artistically arranged on the plate and finished off with gourmet sauce and fresh seasonal vegetables. This pays attention to detail not only for the savory flavor of the dining experience but also for the creativity of a chef.
Global Techniques
Innovative Dallas chefs often push their skills further into global cuisines that provide flavors and depth to old main courses. Tastemakers and celebrity chefs start to make several things fashionable these days, ranging from sous-vide cooking, smoking, or even fermentation. What used to be a simple pot roast done with sous vide makes it extra soft, while the finishing touches of all that's done on the grill give a smoky flavor. This gives, therefore, a healthy boost to old favorites for both traditionalists and food enthusiasts alike.
Seasonal and Thematic Menus
Many of the restaurants in Dallas offer seasonal or thematic menus centered on local ingredients and culinary traditions. A menu might experience a seasonal update in various ways, such as fall-inspired pumpkin risotto or summer-inspired peach barbecue glaze on grilled meats. Such seasonal reinterpretations not only offer the diner new and interesting choices but also mirror the evolution of cuisine in Dallas.
Complementary Desserts
No exploration of main courses is complete without the mention of desserts in Dallas, the dining experience. Frequently Dallas chefs design dessert menus that complement their entrees harmoniously well. A hot chicken dish could be balanced with a chocolate mousse infused with chili and served as a finishing dessert. This combinatorial effect invites people to return to dine at the restaurant again.
Conclusion
Dallas chefs are putting their skillful touch on reinventing classical main dishes with local ingredients, some fusion of flavors, creative presentation, and advanced cooking techniques. It is the story of Dallas's culinary context: the creativity and passion of its chefs. And as diners continue to explore the ever-changing menus of Dallas restaurants, they are sure to find new favorites that celebrate the rich tapestry of flavors this vibrant city has to offer. For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert offerings in Dallas are sure to be just the perfect ending to a night to remember.
